Clint Morgan is a
forth generation acoustic bluegrass style musician originally from
Arizona and for the
past five years
has lived in Benton, Kentucky. Clint plays guitar, mandolin and banjo,
with his primary
instrument being
lead/rhythm guitar. He also sings lead, tenor and baritone harmony.
Clint has won
several guitar
and band contests in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and Arizona. Most
recently he won
the 2010 Indiana
State Flatpick Guitar Championship. Some of Clint’s other
accomplishments include
placing 1st
at the 2010 West Tennessee State Guitar Championship, 2010 Tennessee
State Old Time
Band
Championship, placing 2nd at the 2009 Kentucky State
Flat-pick Championship and placing 3rd at
the 2009
Wickenburg, Arizona Four State Flat-pick Championship. In addition
Clint was awarded a full
scholarship to
the Steve Kauffman Acoustic Music Camp at Maryville College in Tennessee
where he
studied with
Scott Nygaard, Eric Thompson and Tony McManus among others. He also
played with the New Blue Band opening for
nationally
recognized bands The Gibson Brothers and Blue Highway. Clint is
currently attending West Kentucky Community and
Technical College
and plans to continue on to East Tennessee State University to earn a
Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Bluegrass Music.
